Summary. On this eventful day, we began in Keswick and traveled to Glasgow, where we took a morning walking tour and savored some excellent Indian cuisine. Afterward, we got into our car and drove to Loch Lomond for a one-hour boat tour on the Loch. We then continued to the small town of Luss, where we wandered through its charming Scottish streets. Finally, we concluded the day by heading to Glencoe, arriving just as the sun was setting over the stunning Three Sisters.

Glasgow. Our day started with a 2.5 hour drive from Keswick to Glasgow where we joined a mid-morning walking tour. This walking tour of Glasgow brings together key elements of the city’s history and character, from its medieval foundations to its industrial growth and modern creative scene. It includes Glasgow Cathedral as a focal point of the city’s early religious and architectural heritage, alongside areas that reflect medieval Glasgow. The tour also highlights Victorian and industrial buildings that demonstrate how the city developed during its peak as a major manufacturing center. In contrast, it incorporates contemporary street art murals that show Glasgow’s strong creative culture today. Historic landmarks such as the Mercat Cross represent the city’s trading past, while the Duke of Wellington statue adds a well-known and humorous local touch.
Lunch. We discovered an Indian restaurant named Chaakoo Bombay Cafe, and it turned out to be one of the best Indian meals we've enjoyed in a long time. Highly recommend!
Balloch (Loch Lomond). Next, we drove to the Sweeny Cruise dock on Loch Lomond, which was just about 45 minutes from the city center. We opted for the 1-hour cruise, which was sufficient due to the chilly weather. Even at the end of May, it was still very cold so remember to bundle up! The cruise takes you up the Loch for 30 minutes, turns around, and travels back. It's a simple but a neat way to see the homes that line the Loch.
Luss. Our next destination was the small town of Luss, also located on Loch Lomond. There, we wandered through the streets and visited the local cemetery.
The day ended with our arrival into Glengcoe, our home for the next few days. Just as the sun was setting, we passed by the three sisters.
