On the final day of our trip, we visited Galope Austral, a small, family-run horseback riding operation located about 30 minutes north of Puerto Natales, Chile, in the heart of Patagonia. As part of our return journey to El Calafate, Argentina, and then home, this half-day experience turned out to be a memorable highlight of the trip. The ride was private, well-organized, and tailored to each rider's experience level, with helmets, chaps, and horses selected accordingly.

It's simple, mostly flat, and offers breathtaking views all along the way

On this day, we slept in after our long day in El Chaltén, and then took a leisurely drive to El Calafate, our home for the next few days. We spent a chilly afternoon observing birds at the Laguna Nimez Nature Reserve. Although we're not avid birdwatchers, the reserve offered a variety of birds in a compact area, making it ideal for beginners like us.

On this final day in Japan, we visited Sensoji Temple and markets, another animal cafe, and then had the best ramen at the airport!

We selected this hike because it offers the best view of Mt. Fuji, even better than hiking the iconic mountain itself.

We spent the day shopping, took a break to in the tranquility of the Imperial Palace Grounds, and then went to a Yomiuri Giants game

Venture away from the usual tourist routes by taking the Shinhotaka Ropeway to hike Mt. Yakedake outside of Takayama, Japan.

Try this local adventure called "Shower Climbing." we spent two hours ascending and descending, which involved climbing through waterfalls

Our visit to Takayama was a highlight of our trip. On this day we also visited Shirakawa, a UNESCO world heritage site.

We visited Kanazawa highlights by enjoying the gardens, touring one of Japan's largest wooden castles, &taking a Japanese art class.

Kyoto Day 2: learn Samurai history, strolling through a Bamboo Park, visiting monkeys, and a traditional tea ceremony in the Geisha Dist.

On an easy day trip from Kyoto, we visited Osaka, Japan's culinary capital, renowned for its vibrant food scene and rich cultural heritage.
